DEAD TROOPER Part Ways With Drummer, Seek Replacement
January 17, 2006Norwegian thrashers DEAD TROOPER have parted ways with drummer Are Sorknes. According to a posting on the band's web site, Sorknes "didn't have enough time for both DEAD TROOPER and his other projects. He will be missed, the search for a new drummer has begun."
As previously reported, DEAD TROOPER have uploaded their video for the track "Mold of the Unspeakable" at their official web site. Check it out at this location.
DEAD TROOPER, who are currently unsigned, have made their "Spiritual Funeral" EP available via their official web site. Copies can be ordered (for 50 NOK + shipping) by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
"Spiritual Funeral" was recorded at Marek Poknes studios during December 2004–January 2005 and is being described by the band as "a mix of SLAYER and old SEPULTURA, with death metal influences."
